Professional Biography

I am a Consultant in General and Emergency Surgery with special interest in Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) Surgery at Manchester Royal Infirmary.
I graduated from School of Medicine, University of Belgrade in 2002 and I was awarded a Doctorate of Medicine (MD) in 2004 from School of Health Sciences of the Greek Institution of Higher Education. In 2011 I gained my Master of Science degree(MSc)in Minimally Invasive, Robotic Surgery and Telesurgery from University of Athens.
I completed my surgical training in General Surgery in Athens.
I have worked at North Manchester General Hospital and in Manchester Royal Infirmary as a Senior Clinical Fellow where I subspecialised in Hepato-Pancreato-Biliaryand where I gained invaluableexperience in advanced pancreatic, liver, gallbladder and bile duct surgery for a period of 6 years.
I therefore have a special interest in advanced laparoscopic surgery, complex pancreatic and liver surgery as well as the investigation of unexplained abdominal pain.
I am also proficient in all aspects of hernia surgery.
